HEXA TV / IRELAND
Choose multi-screen IPTV by counting how many programmes run at once. A television, phone and tablet can all have an app installed while a one-stream account still permits only one active session.

Make a simple evening schedule: one person watches the main TV, another starts a programme upstairs, and a third uses a tablet. If all three play at the same time, you need three permitted concurrent streams for that use, subject to the provider's household and device rules.
Do not assume every feature consumes connections in the same way. Recording, picture-in-picture and background playback can create extra sessions in some systems. Ask the provider how its limit is counted and what happens when the limit is reached.
Buying the largest allowance just because four devices exist can waste money. Equally, choosing one stream for a household that regularly overlaps creates predictable interruptions. Use actual routines, including weekends and school holidays, to decide the minimum practical allowance.
Keep external streaming subscriptions separate. A broadcaster's own app has its own account and terms; it is not automatically part of an IPTV provider's concurrent allowance. Count the sessions under the account being purchased.
The totals below cover twelve months for the selected simultaneous-stream allowance. Extra streams have their own prices, and payment is in euros.
| Concurrent streams | 12-month total in EUR | Illustrative use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | €49.99 | One active programme |
| 2 | €79.99 | Two programmes at once |
| 3 | €99.99 | Three concurrent viewing sessions |
| 4 | €119.99 | Four concurrent viewing sessions |
A successful single stream does not establish that several rooms can stream together. Test the intended combination simultaneously, with ordinary household activity continuing. Compare a fixed device over Ethernet where practical to see whether the local wireless link contributes to a problem.
There is no universal bandwidth number for every IPTV service. Required throughput depends on actual stream bitrate, codec and quality, while other activity shares the connection. Use provider requirements and measured behaviour; do not infer a guarantee from the broadband package name.
Multiple streams do not automatically permit account sharing between unrelated homes. They also do not automatically permit viewing in another country. Ask for the provider's current device, household, network and territory rules before planning either use.
If changing from an old device, stop playback and sign out where appropriate before testing the replacement. A stale session or a recording left running can complicate diagnosis. If support needs to release a session, provide an account reference through its secure channel, never a public password.
Begin with one verified working device. Add the second, then any additional intended device, observing whether the first keeps playing. If the failure starts at a particular count, save the exact error and time rather than repeatedly reinstalling every app.
Selecting a multi-screen plan does not activate an account before payment verification. Check that the connection allowance and full EUR total agree in the offer and order summary.
Write the time periods when people normally watch, then mark only genuine overlaps. A tablet used after the main television switches off is not another simultaneous session. A second TV playing an independent programme at the same time is.
Include occasional but predictable use, such as visitors or a regular weekend routine, separately from the daily baseline. Ask whether an allowance change is possible if the pattern varies; do not assume an upgrade can be added instantly or priced proportionally.
This schedule also reveals when the account decision and network decision differ. Two permitted sessions may be enough for the household while the upstairs wireless route still needs attention. Conversely, excellent Wi-Fi does not authorise another active account session.
A subscription with several connections is useful only if the intended devices can use them. Record the player and system version on each screen, along with the required login method. A supported lounge device does not establish support on an older bedroom television.
Test the features each person needs. One viewer may require subtitles, another a simple guide and another a tablet interface. Keep these results with the device list rather than treating all screens as equivalent.
If one device cannot run the app, compare a supported replacement route before paying for an allowance that cannot be used. Include any additional player licence or hardware cost in the household total.
When the limit appears unexpectedly, check whether another device is still playing, recording or running a feature that the provider counts as a session. Ask how its system releases ended sessions and which supported sign-out controls are available.
Do not distribute the account to another device merely to test whether a limit can be circumvented. Use the documented allowance and stop old playback when required. If the count remains wrong, report the time, devices and exact error through the provider's private route.
A registered-device list may be a separate control from live concurrency. Removing a device and buying an extra stream therefore solve different potential problems.
The plan selection, displayed total, payment summary and account confirmation should all name the same concurrent allowance. If any stage drops the screen count, resolve it before payment rather than assuming the lowest headline price covers the intended household.
Different stream allowances have separate prices. Selecting a combination is separate from verified payment and activation. Confirm the household, device and change conditions that apply to the intended use.
FAQ
Practical answers before you choose.
No. The important allowance is simultaneous playback. Installation and device-registration limits may be separate.
Only if the provider's current terms explicitly allow that use. A multi-screen label alone does not answer it.
An account allowance does not improve Wi-Fi or stream delivery. Diagnose connection and source problems independently.
Check the provider's supported active-session controls and whether playback or recording remains active elsewhere. Registered devices and concurrent sessions can be separate limits; send the exact error and device list privately.
An open app and active playback are not necessarily counted alike. Use the provider's documented method and introduce only the sessions the plan permits. Record whether a rejection, stopped stream or quality change occurs. Those observations lead to different account and network checks; simply opening many apps can create an artificial fault.
